How we recruit

Five stages, run by our recruiters. You see the scorecard, not just a CV.

  1. Day 1

    Briefing call

We learn the role, the software you use and the hours you need.

  2. Days 2 to 10

    Search, screening and technical test

A recruiter screens each candidate, and each one sits a technical test reviewed by a qualified accountant.

  3. Within 7–10 working days

    Shortlist with scorecards

You see a scorecard for every candidate, not just a CV.

  4. Interviews and offer

You interview the shortlist and choose. Nobody starts without your say-so.

  5. Typically 21–30 days from the first call

    Start

Your new accountant joins your team once their notice period ends.

Timings depend on the role and the candidate’s notice period.

What’s the catch?

Fair question. Here’s what partners usually ask before they hire through us.

See every question partners ask

Who employs them?

With Dedicated, we do. We are the employer in Pakistan: we issue the contract, run payroll and HR, and set the rules on equipment. You direct the day-to-day work. With Direct, you employ them yourself.

What do you charge, and when?

Dedicated is a monthly fee from £750, billed monthly in advance, with a refundable deposit equal to one month’s fee, credited against your final invoice. Direct is a one-time fee from £1,250. With Direct there is no fee until you hire: we invoice it when your chosen candidate accepts your offer, payable within 14 days. Prices exclude VAT. UK business clients account for VAT under the reverse charge.

What’s free?

The briefing call, the search, the testing and the shortlist cost nothing: with Direct you pay only if you hire. Free replacement within 90 days of their start date.

What can’t they do?

They can’t sign off accounts, act as your HMRC agent or take on your professional responsibility. They prepare the work; your team reviews it and signs it off.

The honest trade-offs

Like any new starter, they need onboarding to your processes and software. Pakistani public holidays, including Eid, apply. And because the work is remote, a clear review routine matters from week one.

Common questions

How much does an offshore accountant cost?

Recruitment plus staffing (Dedicated) costs from £750 a month for a bookkeeper, £1,100 for an accountant and £1,500 for a senior accountant. Recruitment only (Direct hire) is a one-time fee from £1,250, invoiced only when you hire. All prices exclude VAT. See full pricing and terms.

Is this the same as outsourcing to an accounting firm?

No. We’re recruiters, not an accounting firm. The accountant we place works as part of your team, in your systems, to your processes and under your supervision. Your qualified staff review the work, sign it off and make HMRC submissions. Read: recruitment vs outsourced accounting.

Is it UK GDPR compliant?

We put UK GDPR safeguards in place, and your firm stays responsible as the controller. Every accountant signs an NDA, uses named accounts with role-based access and works inside your cloud software. We support you with an International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) and a transfer risk assessment. Read about security and compliance.

Do they work UK hours?

Yes. Your accountant works 9:00am to 5:30pm UK time, Monday to Friday. In Lahore that’s an afternoon and evening shift, so your working days line up fully, all year round.
